here are the laffertys a few minutes before they left. naomi was being very affectionate toward them and kept talking about will and jenni aaaallll weekend! i think she sensed they were leaving and she had to get a lot of snuggling in :-) please note the orange wall in the background. it's our kitchen. pei, we have one of your house design magazines to thank.

do y'all remember (for those of us who lived in river oaks) being subjected to multiple viewings of that hope video that john had? well, i thought it would be nice to give you an update on the cousins. this picture was taken at the audubon zoo in new orleans over christmas and left to right are naomi, anna (5), sophie (2), hope (7), and drew (3)...sophie's really the most docile one in the bunch even though here she looks piratesque.
